LTC (Leadership Training for Christ)
Leadership Training for Christ (LTC) is a program dedicated to encouraging young Christians (3rd - 12th grades) to grow spiritually, mentally and socially. The mission is to develop growth in leadership skills, Bible knowledge, and Christian service. All year long adult mentors will coach and train the children to participate in a variety of individual and group events, everything from Bible Bowl to drama, art to Christian essay, speech to Bible class teaching. Our celebration occurs over Easter weekend as we join with over 400 other participants to show what we have been practicing all year! It is a great time to celebrate success while enjoying friends, both old and new! Through it all, glory is given to God for blessing us with talents, a beautiful mountainside vacation, and people to make the great weekend possible. Please join us as we prepare for the next convention at Pointe Tapatio Cliffs, April 6-8, 2012. The theme is “Journey of Faith” and our book of study is “Genesis.” We would love every 3rd -12th grader at Gateway to join us!
Leadership Training for Christ is an organization dedicated to stimulating and encouraging spiritual, mental, and social growth among young men and women in the third through twelfth grades. Its mission is to achieve this growth by developing skills in leadership, Bible knowledge, and Christian servanthood.
Skill development in each of these areas is accomplished through participation in a variety of individual and group events that are conducted at a convention held Easter weekend each year. These events take place within the context of a wholesome and supportive environment designed for the purpose of fostering enthusiasm and high achievement among the participants.
The events are divided into grade and gender categories as is appropriate and involve Christian young people from all over the country.
The organization encourages the involvement and support of parents, local church leaders, and other interested adults in the preparation leading to and during the convention. Although the convention primarily consists of achievement events, the weekend culminates in a worship service to reinforce the spiritual aims of the program.
May God be glorified as young people learn to walk in His light through the efforts of Leadership Training for Christ.
